This was my first piece for the rather excellent Score Magazine. In a nice change of pace I got to draw something film related, rather than my usual one-after-another game related pieces. The illustration was for an article on anti-heroes so I chose Léon, (from the film ‘Léon, The Professional’) as my choice of anti-hero…
Mostly because the art-editor described it as ‘Léon – the greatest’, which I think may of been a subtle hint.
As for the piece, it’s clearly just a slightly (but only slightly) exaggerated portrait of Jean Reno in his Léon cameo. In true form to the film he had to be creeping out of the shadows — with his characteristic glasses and snazzy braces.
Apart from that, a quick apology over the lack of images as of late. Many things all happened at once leaving little time for drawing. Thankfully The Score Magazine gave me a reason to draw during a busy time. But I think it’s helped me back on the drawing track, so expect more… sometime. Oh, I should just get a blog.
